Khotan
Khotan is a city in East Turkestan which produced fine rugs in the 18th and 19th centuries and we are excited to be replicating these wonderful pieces. Designers love these rugs for their decorative color palettes which are often reminiscent of Oushak carpets. The designs retain a distinct Asian flair which clearly separates them from a Turkish or Persian piece. More often than not, these pieces were made in narrow, long (or Kelleh) sizes but our authentic reproductions have broadened the scope to include standard sizes as well.
