Haynes has been immersed in the oriental carpet trade most of his life. His first commercial venture came while he was still in college, a partnership with his mother. As Rugs by Robinson Ltd, their oriental-style designs became enormously popular, and were commissioned by many of the city’s leading design professionals. Today, Rugs by Robinson is nationally renowned both as a purveyor of antique oriental carpets and a designer of innovative new products. Haynes has traveled has traveled the world establishing carpet productions in China, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Turkey, and most recently Iran.
Betty Robinson
Co-Founder/Consultant
Betty co-founded Rugs by Robinson with her son Haynes in 1985 and was a steward of its growth and direction through the 90’s. While no longer at Rugs by Robinson fulltime, Betty remains a design consultant on many important projects.
Tim Sullivan
Manager of Antique Rugs

Tim joined Rugs by Robinson in 1995 after graduating from Boston College. Years of experience have made Tim both an expert on Antique Decorative Carpets as well as a valued design consultant. If you have a question regarding an antique or semi antique carpet, Tim will be happy to assist you.

Bill joined Rugs by Robinson in 1998 and quickly became our specialist in New Rugs. He has extensive knowledge of all aspects of rug design and manufacture and can assist any client whether they are looking for a one of a kind new rug or would like to design a special custom piece.
Paul Baird
Wholesale Manager

Paul joined Rugs by Robinson in 1998 and helped out with all aspects of the business before taking over as Wholesale Manager 1999. Paul is an expert on the wholesale trade of rugs and travels extensively thought the US as a steward for the Rugs by Robinson brand.

Kent joined Rugs by Robinson in 1996. Kent has worked in all aspects of the business, but now focuses most of his time on back office operations.
Michele Mitchell

Michele has been with Rugs by Robinson since 1985 in a variety of roles. Michele currently takes care of all bookkeeping and accounting tasks required for the business.

Paul Hughes (Jr) joined the Rugs by Robinson staff in 2003. He currently oversees all transportation logistics for Rugs by Robinson.
